Professional breastfeeding support — and a friendly face
The group is run by Jo Thompson, an experienced breastfeeding counsellor and CLSP Certified Lactation Support Provider. Whether you’re breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, mixed feeding or unsure what to do next — Jo offers gentle, up-to-date support tailored to you and your baby.
Alongside Jo, you’ll usually find Sarah Drawwater, a doula and antenatal educator who co-founded Connected Parents CIC to help families in Ramsey and the surrounding area feel better supported from pregnancy into parenthood.
Who is the group for?
Anyone who is pregnant or has a new baby — however you’re feeding and however you’re feeling.
We welcome:
Pregnant parents preparing to breastfeed
New parents who just want a hot drink and a friendly check-in
Families experiencing feeding difficulties or needing a second opinion
Parents who want to meet others and find their community
Babies who are one week or one, two three, years — or anywhere in between
Where can I find the group?

No need to book — just drop in.
The group is free to attend and there’s oodles free parking, a warm welcome, comfy sofas, and often cake. You’re welcome to feed, change, cry, laugh or just sit quietly and take a breath.

While breastfeeding support is at the heart of what we offer, this group is about more than just feeding.
We’re here for the whole early parenting experience — from preparing during pregnancy, to navigating the newborn fog, to wondering if your baby’s behavior is normal (hint: it usually is).
You can stay for a week or keep coming for months. Many parents do.
